The Indian cricket team locked horns with England in the first T20I match of the three-match series as they kick-started long grueling tour at the Old Trafford, Manchester. Indian skipper Virat Kohli elected to bowl first and his bowlers responded in the best possible way, as the hosts were restricted to 159/8, despite getting a start of 44/0 in first four overs.

During the chase, the men in blue started on a decent note as they scored 54/1 after the first powerplay, losing just the wicket of Shikhar Dhawan. However, the match became nothing but on in the 11th over of the second innings, which was bowled by Liam Plunket, as KL Rahul smashed as many as 20 runs himself in that over. However, it was not only about the runs, the quality and timing on those shots were impeccable.

On the second ball of the over, Rahul displayed unbelievable strokeplay. It was a length ball on middle stump and he strides down the pitch and a neat little pick-up to get it over the long leg boundary. On the next two balls, KL smashed two back-to-back fours, first over deep extra covers and another between fine leg and deep square leg.

Rahul finsihed the over with a ridiculous shot, on the short ball in the corridor, as he gets behind the line, faux-collapse into the off side to make swinging room and then, the swing. The ball went far over the deep square leg.

KL Rahul went on to score his second T20I century as well and Team India won the match by 8 wickets as the winning runs were scored by none other than Kohli.
