Evin Lewis Picks MS Dhoni To Lead His All-time T20 Playing XI

Rajasthan Royals (RR) player, Evin Lewis was seen picking all-time T20I playing XI in the latest video on the franchise’s official Twitter handle. Lewis picked Chris Gayle and Rohit Sharma as the openers as they have combinedly amassed 4743 runs in T20Is and have blasted 6 centuries together. The Indan skipper, Virat Kohli will walk in at No.3, while the No.4 spot will be taken by the legendary AB de Villiers.

While Kohli is the highest run-getter in the shortest for the game (3216 runs), De Villiers has plundered 1672 runs at a strike rate in excess of 135 in T20I cricket. The No.5 spot in the side will be occupied by West Indian cricketing powerhouse Kieron Pollard. Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni will be the wicket-keeper cum captain of Evin Lewis’ all-time T20I XI. Dhoni led the Indian side to the T20 World Cup title in the year 2007.

The two all-rounders who made their way into Lewis’ all-time T20I XI are Andre Russell and Ravindra Jadeja. Jadeja is the mainstay of the Indian T20I squad and has scored 230 runs and taken 39 wickets. Andre Russell has scored 721 runs for the West Indies in 64 T20Is and has scored his runs at a phenomenal strike rate of 155.39. The three bowlers who will complete Lewis’ all-time T20I XI are Rashid Khan, Jasprit Bumrah, and Mitchell Starc.

Rashid Khan is the 4th highest wicket-taker in the history of T20Is and has scalped a whopping 99 wickets in just 52 matches at an average of 12.21. Jasprit Bumrah has played 51 T20I matches for the Indian team and has scalped 59 wickets. Australian left-arm seamer Mitchell Starc has prized out 55 willow wielders in T20I cricket.
