Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan is active on social media, but he rarely posts any photos of his wife, Safa Baig. Unlike other cricketers, he closely protects his personal life from the outside world and doesn’t seem to believe in a public display of affection. In a rarest of a rare occasion, the cricketer posted a photo of his extremely beautiful wife on Instagram, but you can barely see her face in it as she has covered it with her palms.

Now after all this update, what if we tell you Safa used to have a modeling career in Gulf before she got hitched with Irfan Pathan. Even she worked journalists too, media reports claim. According to an India Today report, she has worked in a PR firm as an executive editor and was featured in several prominent fashion magazines in the Gulf.

According to the reports in International Business Times, Safa was born on February 28, 1994, and brought up in Jeddah’s Aziziyah district and her father Mirza Farooq Baig is a Saudi businessman; she has four siblings. She was just 21 when she tied the knot with Irfan, who was 31. They married in a simple ceremony in Mecca. Reportedly, Irfan and Safa met in Dubai.

Though Baig is Indian, she is a very popular face in the modeling world in Middle East. She is also a skilled nail artiste and has her Flickr page where showcases her exceptional talent. 

Apparently, Irfan and Safa first met in Dubai but the circumstances under which they met are unknown. The two got hitched in Mecca on February 4, 2016, in a low-key ceremony attended by only family and close friends. The couple has a two-year-old son Imran Khan Pathan.
