Faf du Plessis Looking At Ferocious Best During CSK Practice

Former South Africa skipper, Faf du Plessis, who has been playing for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) since the 2012 edition, scored a match-winning knock of of 58* off 44 in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 opener against Mumbai Indians (MI). Apart from his incredible batting while chasing 163, Du Plessis impressed one and all with his exceptional athleticism on the field as he bagged 3 very crucial catches on the boundary line.

Due to his valiant efforts, Chennai managed to register a comfortable win in their opening game of IPL 2020, against MI, by 5 wickets and 4 balls remaining. Ambati Rayudu won the Man of the Match for hsi fiery knock of 48-ball 71, however, du Plessis’ efforts were nowhere less in Chennai’s win.

While many star players like Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul have seemed to not be at their best form yet, Faf at 36 is in the form of his life. As CSK are scheduled to face Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Tuesday, the CSK official Twitter handle shared a video of Faf smashing it at the nets, showing promise for another great knock.

Du Plessis’ footwork in the video is as amazing as it can get, his front foot looks smooth as ever and his shots have more clarity than the voice of Axl Rose of Guns N’ Roses. Moreover, Faf’s firepower is synchronous to the rock band’s energy. In the latter part of the video, Faf stunned one and all again with his back foot lofted shots to the on the side, showcasing his strong leg side.

Faf could well be the dangerman against Steve Smith and his men. As CSK wrote, it’s ‘cricgasm’ for sure! He is the ‘Thooku Durai’ of the Chennai camp for his highly competitive nature and determination.
