Currently, in the 38th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are locking horns with each other in Abu Dhabi. As usual Kolkata opener, Venkatesh Iyer and Shubman Gill started brilliantly, but after being saved by a brilliant DRS call, the latter was dismissed on the next ball owing to a direct hit from Ambati Rayudu. Even, KKR skipper, Eoin Morgan failed to survive for longer as Faf du Plessis to a brilliant relay catch at the boundary line.
A super relay catch from Faf du Plessis at long-on ends Morgan’s innings in the 10th over of the innings. The KKR skipper looked to clear the fence while facing the Australian pacer, Josh Hazlewood but the South African had some other plans and it reduced KKR to 70/3 after 9.1 overs.

Earlier in the day, Kolkata had a poor start after captain Eoin Morgan won the toss and decided to bat first. Shubman Gill was run out after a miscommunication with opener Venkatesh Iyer as Ambati Rayudu manaed to hit the bullseye to caught Gill short of his crease.
Venkatesh Iyer also got a chance after Faf du Plessis was an inch short to grab a stunning catch. The southpaw, who has been in brilliant touch, shared a crucial stand with Rahul Tripathi before edging one off Shardul Thakur.

CSK made a swift comeback in the match thanks to Shardul Thakur and Ravindra Jadeja, who managed to get the wicket of well-set Rahul Tripathi. With Andre Russell in the middle, Kolkata will expect him to fire as they aim to post a 170+ target against star-studded CSK batting.
