Haider Ali got a lifeline when Mohammad Hafeez and Fakhar Zaman collided with each other and dropped an easy-looking catch. In the encounter that took place between the Peshawar Zalmi and the Lahore Qalandars, Haider Ali looked to got for a big shot but the ball took the leading edge of his willow.
The ball went high in the air, and both Mohammad Hafeez and Fakhar Zaman came to pouch the offering. However, both men collided, the ball hit Fakhar Zaman’s hand and fell to the ground.

Mohammad Hafeez said that both the cricketers thought it was their catch to take. Mohammad Hafeez said, “He told me that I said ‘Yes mine!’, but I said ‘No it’s mine!” Here is the video of the dropped catch:

Fakhar Zaman, on his part, said that Mohammad Hafeez shouted mine, but in his mind, he knew that it was his catch to take. He justified saying, “You called ‘Yes mine right’? But believe me, I said ‘No it’s mine’ in my mind.” Both Hafeez and Zaman were seen having a good laugh regarding the incident.

Fakhar Zaman even took to Twitter and posted about the incident. He then went on to change his profile picture to the one that shows both him and Hafeez dropping the catch. The Lahore Qalandars comfortably beat the Peshawar Zalmi side by 29 runs in the encounter that took place between the two sides. The Qalandars batted first and posted a total of 199/4 on the board.

Fakhar Zaman was the highest run-getter for his side with a blazing 38-ball 66. In reply, the Peshawar Zalmi side could only manage to post a total of 170/9 on the board. Haider Ali and Kamran Akmal scored 49 and 41 respectively, but they did not receive adequate support from their teammates.
