Fakhar Zaman Shows Sportsmanship, Walks-off After Edging The Ball

In the second match of the Asia Cup 2022, the arch-rivals India and Pakistan are locking horns with each other at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Pakistan’s top-order batter, Fakhar Zaman showed his sportsman spirit by walking off after a caught-behind appeal from India on the bowling of young pacer, Avesh Khan.

Earlier in the game, the Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first in a crunch game. Surprisingly, India picked Dinesh Karthik ahead of Rishabh Pant with KL Rahul and Virat Kohli making a comeback to the TIs after a break. Pakistan picked their XI quite on the expected lines.

However, Fakhar Zaman got out on the last over of the powerplay as the extra bounce beat him or so it seemed, but one thing was for sure, the ball took the faintest of nicks. The Indian players didn’t appeal much, but Fakhar decided to walk off o the field after nicking the delivery room Avesh Khan, even the umpire raised a finger after Zamam started walking. It was a short delivery and it bounced up higher than the batter expected it.
