The Indian bowling all-rounder, Deepak Chahar got hitched to his fiancee Jaya Bhardwaj in Agra on June 1. Deepak had proposed and confessed his love for Jaya during the IPL 2021 league fixture between the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Punjab Kings (CSK) in the UAE which she accepted happily.

Deepak Chahar also held a reception gathering for his teammates, friends, and family in Delhi. The cricketers who attended the function included the likes of Rishabh Pant, Karn Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Shardul Thakur, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, etc. However, among the attendees was a lookalike of the Pakistani fast bowler, Hasan Ali which left all the fans and cricket enthusiasts curious and made them wonder whether Hasan was indeed invited to the ceremony.

Meanwhile, it is to be noted that while the other players who clicked in the photograph were formally dressed, the Pakistani cricketer’s lookalike was wearing a traditional Pathani kurta, which created confusion in the first place.

Hasan Ali’s lookalike was none other than India’s southpaw fast bowler, Khaleel Ahmed who has featured in 11 ODIs and 14 T20Is since his international debut in September 2018. Khaleel was last seen in action during IPL 2022 where he represented the Delhi Capitals (DC). He finished the tournament with 16 wickets from 10 games. The Rishabh Pant-led side finished fifth in this edition.

Talking about Chahar on the professional front, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bought him back for a staggering INR 14 crore during the IPL 2022 mega auction in Bengaluru in February. Unfortunately for him and CSK, Deepak Chahar could not even play a single game in this year’s marquee tournament. A quadriceps tear that he had sustained during the home T20I series against the West Indies kept him out of action for nearly a couple of months and he went under at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.
