Bangladesh left-arm spinner Elias Sunny is holding the record of best bowling figures in T20I debut. Making his T20I debut against Ireland at Belfast on 18 July 2012, the left-arm spinner Elias Sunny had a bowling figure of 4-1-13-5. Still, he is also the only bowler to claim a five-wicket haul in T20I debut.

Indian left-arm pacer Barinder Sran is currently at the second position in the list of best bowling figures in T20I debut. On June 20, 2016, Sran made his T20I debut against Zimbabwe at Harare and had a bowling figure of 4-0-10-4. However, Sunny had broken the record of Ajantha Mendis’ 4-0-15-4 (against Zimbabwe at King City, North-West Ground on 10 October 2008).
