The Men in Green comprehensively registered the victory against the Kiwis by 7 wickets and reach the final of the tournament scheduled to be taking place on Sunday, November 13.
A complete shift in momentum for Pakistan is what the side is now enjoying in the tournament after losing two matches in a row earlier in the event. Pakistan fans and former players were elated with the team’s qualification after the repeated blows they took in the Super 12 stage of the ICC event.

Pakistan legends Wasim Akram, Shoaib Malik, Misbah-ul-Haq, and Waqar Younis, panelists of the A Sports, were overwhelmed after Pakistan’s crucial win over the Blackcaps. In a video shared on social media, former Pakistan players did not hold back on their celebrations and were seen to be dancing following the qualification to the finals.
While everything seemed to go sideways in their Super 12 campaign, Pakistan managed to get things running with luck tilting towards their end and they eventually capitalized on it.
Now, Pakistan is the only side along with Sri Lanka to have reached the finals thrice in the showpiece event across all the editions. Sheer dominance right from the word ‘go’ was what the side adhered to in the match against Kane Williamson’s New Zealand.
