The Indian Premier League’s primary motive is money developing the young Indian talent. The competition has made lives of many young Indian cricketers and has launched them in the Indian national team. However, there few cricketers who are past their prime but on the worth of their experience are still being selected by the teams. Even in this IPL, we have witnessed few stalwarts who have performed way below than their expectations.

With the age catching up and the game moving in fast forward, one year is a long period in the T20 cricket. Most senior players are playing for their state teams just in the bid to be selected for the IPL. Here is look at the four Indian cricketers who may not be picked in the 2019 IPL.

Yusuf Pathan

There were clouds on whether Yusuf Pathan will get a match this time for Sunrisers Hyderabad or not. With Deepak Hooda not firing, Pathan stepped up and performed and is now a certainty in the team. After a terrible 2017 season, Yusuf was not expected to be in this season.

However, one more year will be a long time. In addition, the all-rounder is not being picked up by his domestic team. Vadodara decided to axe both Irfan and Yusuf Pathan from their team and thus the match practice of the brothers is limited. The chances of both not featuring in the next year are high.
