Team India is on a roll in the One-Day International format at the moment. They are being called a pre-tournament favorite for the forthcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, which will be played in England. Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly has heaped praises for the Indian team post a clinical series win in Australia and New Zealand.
The only series which India lost since Champions Trophy 2017 came against England but India did manage to clinch the series in South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand in fine fashion. Hence, India looks all prepared for the World Cup and Ganguly believes they will dominate every opponent at the marquee event.

“It’s been a better performance than Australia. It has been complete domination at home and away as well. The confidence has been great and it’s quite impressive to see the bowlers get them out in 50 overs. It’s been a great year for India in ODIs,” Ganguly quoted to India TV after India’s series win against New Zealand.
India’s spin duo, comprises Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav, is in fine tune and single handedly won several games for India in last one and half year. It is them who allow Kohli to attack during the middle overs as well. Other than that, India’s top three hasn’t given any space to the opposition bowlers and dominated every opponent in every condition. Hence, Dada feels India is way ahead of other teams in the ODI format.
He added “Kulcha (Kuldeep-Chahal) have strangled the New Zealand Batsman and overall the team has been excellent. Especially Rohit and Kohli, who have been so consistent; you don’t have such a top order in any other team in the world. India are ahead of other teams in ODI cricket. This might be one of the best World Cups we may witness.”
Team India’s chasing ability is second to none and they have chased several big totals in previous year. Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli have tremendous record while chasing the big totals.

“A team cannot defeat India if you’re putting on targets such as 200 or 250, the Indian batsmen have shown the ability to chase down bigger targets. Whenever there is pressure, batsman like Rohit, Virat, Kedar or Dhoni respond with a six. They’ve learnt how to handle pressure,” Ganguly concluded while saying.
