Former Indian opener, Gautam Gambhir is currently serving as the mentor of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) franchise. His team kick-started the IPL campaign with a loss against Gujarat Titans (GT). However, they ensured to get their job done against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. LSG bowlers were totally clueless against the CSK batters in the game.

Robin Uthappa played a substantial role as an opener as he played a knock of 50 off 27 balls including 8 fours and a six. Shivam Dube also looked incredible knock of 49 off 30 balls. LSG chased down the score with three balls to spare as Quinton de Kock smashed 61 off 45 balls (9 fours) in the run-chase. Evin Lewis also played a fiery knock of 55 off 23 balls with the help of six boundaries and 3 sixes.

Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants mentor Gautam Gambhir and his wife Natasa Jain engaged in a hilarious conversation on the micro-blogging Instagram handle. It all started when Gambhir took to his Instagram handle and posted a picture of his wife and kids along with a message that reads, “Pressure of them watching is more than that of the crowd”.

His post went viral on the internet. Interestingly, the post also caught the attention of his wife Natasa Jain who decided to give a reply as well. She wrote, “See u after 2 months then”

Evin Lewis was named the Player of the Match for his spectacular knock. The West Indies’ international held his nerves as he composed the innings ever so well against CSK.

After the match, Lewis said, “Very good pitch, once you get in you can score freely. I just backed my strengths and ability, I think he is a very confident guy, I saw him (Badoni) in the nets, I just try to keep it simple and want to do the best for the team.” Meanwhile, CSK skipper, Ravindra Jadeja said, “There was a lot of dew, the ball wasn’t sticking to the hand. Next time, we have to practise with the wet ball.”
