India won the toss and elected to bat first. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli then steadied the innings, but they could not maintain a high run rate and struggled to score runs. What followed next was a Virat Kohli-Suryakumar Yadav special as they completed their half-centuries as India posted a target of 180 runs.

Netherlands’ start to the innings was sluggish, as the Indian bowlers kept picking up wickets at regular intervals and dominated the second innings completely. Almost every bowler ended with at least one wicket, and India clinched their second consecutive win in the tournament after defeating the Netherlands by 56 runs.
