Glenn Maxwell failed to perform with the bat in the third ODI against India, scoring just 5 runs off 7 balls before being dismissed by Jasprit Bumrah’s stunning yorker. However, he made up for it with the ball, chipping in with regular wickets to put Australia in a dominant position in the match.
Glenn Maxwell opened his account by dismissing Washington Sundar, breaking the 74-run opening partnership between Sundar and Rohit Sharma. He then dismissed Sharma to break his 70-run stand with Virat Kohli. Maxwell wasn’t done there, as he also picked up the wickets of Kohli and Shreyas Iyer to finish with a four-wicket haul.

One of the most memorable moments of Maxwell’s bowling performance was his dismissal of Shreyas Iyer. Iyer had just smoked Maxwell for a brilliant six over wide long-on, but the Australian all-rounder was quick to take his revenge.
Glenn Maxwell bowled a good length ball on off-stump and Iyer played for the turn. The ball went past his outside edge and crashed into the off-stump. Maxwell was pumped up after taking the wicket and he roared in celebration.
