Jasprit Bumrah has become India’s most valuable asset in the limited-over cricket since his International debut in Australia. Since then, he has won several matches for India with his deadly Yorkers at death overs.
Despite having an unusual bowling action, he is very impressed with his accuracy and can trouble batsmen at any stage. Either it is the new or old ball, Bumrah has tasted success each time he held the white leather.
When he grabbed eyeballs of International stars, several players asked him to change his bowling action to gain more success. But there was only one player, who backed him with his usual action. It was the Australian great Glenn McGrath, who advised him to stick to his action and work more on his line and length.
He was first seen by former Kiwi and then Mumbai Indians coach John Wright, who straight away inserted him into MI team for IPL 2013. In the meantime, Bumrah spent a lot of time with Yorker maestro Lasith Malinga. He helped him immensely to develop some unbelievable skills, which has taken Bumrah among the top white-ball bowlers in the world cricket.
Over the period of time, McGrath has been his supporter and has backed him for Test cricket as well. Earlier this year, former Aussie great said that Bumrah is ready to taste five-day cricket.
