Star Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah is set to make his much-awaited return to international cricket during the upcoming series against Ireland. Former Australian pacer Glenn McGrath shared his thoughts on Bumrah’s unique bowling action and the stress it puts on his body. While praising Bumrah as exceptional and unique, McGrath highlighted the importance of the Indian pacer staying strong to continue playing for India for years to come.

“Bumrah is exceptional, and he is unique. The way he bowls, his run-up, and his delivery stride are very unique. But his bowling action and the way he goes about it does put a lot of stress on his body, so he needs to stay strong. If he does that, he can play quite a few years for India,” said Glenn McGrath.
McGrath also acknowledged the challenging schedule modern-day cricketers face, making it tough for players like Bumrah to excel in all three formats of the game. The constant changes in the international schedule, along with the demands of the IPL and other T20 tournaments, add to the workload and can be particularly demanding for fast bowlers.
“The current international schedule, the IPL and other T20 tournaments makes it harder for fast bowlers like Bumrah to play in all three formats, but some bowlers can do it,” added Glenn McGrath.
