Cricket is a game of glorious uncertainties, a form of which was seen in yesterday’s match. Punjab Kings were just four runs away from their fourth win in the tournament and victory was almost certain. But Sanju Samson, proving his captaincy right, handed the ball to Kartik Tyagi in the last over.
What happened after this was no less than a dream, as Kartik Tyagi dismissed Nicholas Poorna and Deepak Hooda to give a sensational victory to Rajasthan Royals by 2 runs.
After this victory, the cricket world praised Kartik Tyagi and former England bowler Graeme Swann and India batsman Parthiv Patel didn’t leave behind.

“That is quite possibly the greatest last over that I have seen. Tyagi bowled an absolute stonking over. Two wickets, one run, defending only four. I’ll take my hat off to him.
The third ball of the over was a brilliant one for me. Very full and then the caught behind happened. When the right-hander came in, he saw it and stepped across,” Swann said on Star Sports after the match.”
He further added, “That could have been a wide but not for me because the batsman stepped wide and followed him. Three off the last ball and now the pressure was on and that was an absolutely perfectly executed yorker to wrap up the game.”

On the other hand, Parthiv Patel said, “Everytime now when there would be 4-5 runs needed in one over, we are going to say ‘Can we pull off a Kartik Tyagi’? When you need only 4 off the last over, first couple of balls you will wait ‘let’s see what happened’.
But as we have been talking about the execution, the way he nailed those yorkers. You have to give him credit. We are short of words. I cannot believe what I saw today.”
