Former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni was quick as lightning during the 1st ODI against Australia still the visiting batsman Peter Handscomb decided to take the risk as he stepped out only to throw his wicket away to Kuldeep Yadav in Hyderabad.
After losing the T20I series 0-2 against Australia at home, Team India was looking to have a great start in the five-match series which commenced on Saturday a the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. After winning the toss, the Australian skipper, Aaron Finch decided to bat first and the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli expressed that Kuldeep Yadav, Vijay Shankar, and Mohammed Shami have been included in the squad.
In the 30th over, Kuldeep delivered a flighted away-drifting delivery that dipped and turned past the inside edge of Handscomb. The batsman chipped down the track and was nowhere close to the pitch of the ball. The ball turned through the gap between bat-pad. MS Dhoni did his job without wasting any time.

It was Dhoni’s 120th stumping in ODI cricket. Handscomb departed for 19 off 30 balls, leaving Australia in trouble after winning the toss and opting to bat first.

Later in the game, Australia also lost the crucial wicket of Glenn Maxwell as Mohammed Shami cleaned his off stump in the 40th over. Earlier in the day, it was surprising that KL Rahul does not find a spot after a good T20I series, Ambati Rayudu seems to be the one being trusted at the 4th position. Yuzvendra Chahal has been rested as Jadeja, Kuldeep find spots. Pant too does not find a place.
India seems to be persisting with the ploy of experimenting to finalize the World Cup squad.
