Harbhajan’s remarks came during a discussion on Star Sports ahead of Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s IPL 2025 match against Kolkata Knight Riders. When asked about Dhoni’s future with CSK, Harbhajan said, “He can play as long as he wants. Had it been my team, I might have made a different call. But the fans genuinely want him out there. His following is real, unlike the noise we see online — many of those are paid.”
