The young Indian fast bowler, Prasidh Krishna was the pick of the bowlers during the second ODI against West Indies which India won by 44 runs. He was too hot to handle for the Caribbean batter and eventually he finished teh match with the figures of 12 runs- 3 maidens- 4 wickets in nine overs. Though yet to represent India in the shortest format, Krishna has had a dream start to his ODI career, picking up 15 wickets in just six matches.

Mightily impressed with Krishna’s performance was former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh opined that Krishna should feature in the squad traveling to Australia for this year’s World T20. He further added, “We are seeing him in ODI cricket in any case, along with that, I want to see him at the T20 World Cup in Australia. Those are big grounds, there is extra bounce and pace in any case there and with his height and pace, I feel Team India will gain a lot there. He has more bounce and pace compared to the other bowlers and the quickness of the ball after pitching is more.”

The pacer, who represented Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL, has troubled batters with the extra bounce he has been managing to generate with the help of his quick high-arm action.  Harbhajan Singh also feels that Krishna along with Jasprit Bumrah will make up for a lethal combination on the fast bouncy pitches in Australia in the World T20 later this year.

Describing the same, Harbhajan Singh said, “As he keeps on playing, he will keep learning. When Jasprit Bumrah came, he was not as capable a bowler as he is today. If he plays regularly for six to eight months, he will become an even better bowler. I am very impressed with him. I am sure in the coming days, the Jasprit Bumrah-Prasidh Krishna pair is going to do a lot of good for Team India,” he concluded.
