Hardik is currently playing in the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for his franchise Mumbai Indians (MI). Despite facing an injury in the tournament opener against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), he took a couple of wickets against their biggest rivals. Mumbai’s middle order comprises of power hitters like Pandya and Caribbean Keiron Pollard as both are fearsome big-hitting batsmen, but in the first three games this year, have totally put together 52 runs.

In the ongoing season of the IPL, Hardik also gathered a lot of limelight, when he took a brilliant leaping catch in the match against Delhi Daredevils (DD) to dismiss Glenn Maxwell. It isn’t the first time Pandya’s pulled off a spectacular catch in the deep as during the winter last year he completed another incredible diving effort to dismiss New Zealand’s Martin Guptill in a T20I.
