Harshal Patel Expresses Gratitude To Royal Challengers Bangalore

Following his release from the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) squad for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Harshal Patel, the 33-year-old pacer, expressed his gratitude for the franchise’s support during his three-year tenure. In an Instagram post, Patel reminisced about his incredible journey with RCB, acknowledging the unwavering support he received from the team and its supporters.

“I want to share some special memories I’ve had with @royalchallengersbangalore. Last three years have been an incredible journey for me. I want to thank everyone in the team who stood by me through thick and thin. As I move on, I have nothing but gratitude in my heart,” Harshal Patel wrote.

Patel’s most memorable season with RCB came in 2021, where his exceptional bowling performance earned him the prestigious Purple Cap as the tournament’s highest wicket-taker with 32 wickets from 15 matches. However, his performance dipped in the 2023 season, managing to scalp only 14 wickets with an economy rate of 9.66.

RCB has released several players ahead of the IPL 2024, including Sri Lankan spinner Wanindu Hasaranga, Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood, and Indian pacer Harshal Patel. The franchise has also retained several key players, including Faf Du Plessis, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, Will Jacks, Rajat Patidar, and Mohammed Siraj.

As Harshal Patel embarks on a new chapter in his IPL career, he carries with him the memories and gratitude for the support he received during his time with Royal Challengers Bangalore.
