Some of the superstars in Women’s cricket are set to take part in the T20 Challenge ahead of the first qualifier of the IPL at the Wankhede Stadium. The historic T20 match is scheduled to be taking place on May 22 as the BCCI is making an attempt to promote the game. While Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur will be leading the two teams and the fans are excited about the clash. However, the English cricketer Danielle Wyatt also expressed her excitement of featuring in that game and traveling to India and the U19 star Shubman Gill replied her to begin an interesting conversation.
On Tuesday, BCCI made an announcement of the captains of both the teams and also the overseas stars who will take part in the one-off game to set to the ball rolling for the first of its kind match in the history of Women’s cricket.
There have been demands for staging the women’s IPL as well ever since Indian women’s cricket team has made the country proud with their exceptional performance in the World Cup last year. Suzie Bates, Sophie Devine, Ellyse Perry, Megan Schutt, Beth Mooney, Alyssa Healy, Danielle Hazell and Danielle Wyatt are the overseas cricketers who will take part in the game.

Wyatt is a popular women cricketer because of her marriage proposal tweet for the Indian skipper Virat Kohli in 2014. After the names of the players for the Women’s T20 challenge were confirmed, she took to Twitter to express her excitement to visit India. She was in Mumbai earlier this year for a series against the home team and did extremely well in both ODIs and T20Is. She retweeted the post of ICC and wrote, “Can’t wait for this! Back to Mumbai.”
