This announcement marks a significant increase in financial rewards, reflecting the growing popularity and commercial success of T20 cricket. In addition to the grand prizes for the champions and runners-up, every team participating in the 2024 T20 World Cup will receive a minimum of $225,000 just for qualifying.

Teams will earn an additional $31,154 for every match they win, excluding the semi-finals and final. This performance-based incentive is designed to encourage competitive spirit and high performance throughout the tournament.

The T20 World Cup 2024 is set to be a month-long celebration of cricket’s fastest and most thrilling format, with matches scheduled across venues in Texas, Florida, New York, and the Caribbean. The tournament kicked off with a historic match between the United States and Canada at the Grand Prairie Stadium near Dallas, marking the first major ICC event to be partially hosted in the United States.

While most of the tournament will unfold in the Caribbean, 16 group stage matches will take place on American soil. Among these, the highly anticipated clash between India and Pakistan stands out as a marquee event.

The remainder of the tournament, including the Super Eight stage, semi-finals, and the final, will be held in the West Indies, culminating at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. The tournament structure features 20 teams divided into four groups of five. Only the top two teams from each group will advance to the next stage, which could result in the early elimination of many smaller nations. This format promises intense competition from the outset, as teams vie for the coveted spots in the Super Eight stage and beyond.
