Chennai has played against Mumbai in the first Qualifier game on May 7 where Mumbai outplayed Chennai. Though Tahir took two wickets in consecutive deliveries, he wasn’t in a good form in the game. Chennai was not in great form and lost by six wickets. Now, they will have to play the winner of eliminator, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals in Visakhapatnam on Friday.

Tahir has played all around the world and achieved the milestone in his 247th match. He, however, is all set to retire from One Day Internationals after the upcoming ICC World Cup which is scheduled to start from May 30 in England. He has two five-wicket hauls in the shortest format of the game. Apart from him, Shahid Afridi, Sunil Narine, and Shakib Al Hasan are the only other three spinners who have achieved this feat before him. On the other hand, his Chennai Super Kings teammate Dwayne Bravo leads the chart with 488 wickets.

South Africa will start their World Cup campaign against England on May 30 at Kennington Oval, London.
