Chasing a daunting target of 191 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, Australia had a slow start as they lost Marcus Stoinis in the third over itself, who promoted to open the innings before Vijay Shankar dismissed Aaron Finch in the 4th over of the chase to reduce Australia to 22 for 2. However, before the hosts could further make damage in the game, D’Arcy Short and Glenn Maxwell another good partnership of 73 runs for the third wicket.
India finally managed to break the partnership as Shankar dismissed Short for 40 to end the crucial stand. Australia wasn’t in a good position after that dismissal ash they were requiring 96 runs in almost 9 overs. However, with the help of a free-flowing century from Maxwell (113* off 55) with the help of 7 fours and 9 sixes and a handy 20 off 18 balls from Peter Handscomb helped the visitors to chase down the total with two balls to spare.
WATCH – A Hat-trick Of Sixes By Virat Kohli
Earlier in the game, a mind-boggling half-century from skipper Virat Kohli and a quickfire innings from MS Dhoni helped India post an imposing total of 190 for 4 in the allotted 20 overs. Continuing with the experimentation ahead of the World Cup, India made three changes Rohit Sharma, Mayank Markande, and Umesh Yadav made way for Shikhar Dhawan, Vijay Shankar, and Siddharth Kaul. But while Dhawan failed to get going early on, KL Rahul was in his elements as he hit the Aussies all around the park.
An outstanding knock of 113* from Maxwell guides the visitors to a 7-wkt victory in the second T20I.

Dhawan and Rishabh Pant departed in quick succession too as India found themselves 3 down for 74. However, a 101-run stand between Kohli and Dhoni helped India recover to post a huge total.
