India player Ravindra Jadeja is currently doing wonder for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the ongoing season of Indian Premier League (IPL). He has showcased his talent with both bat and ball as well. He even showcased his talent as a finisher on Saturday at the Eden Gardens while facing the hosts Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). However, his father Anirudhsinh is set to join politics prior to the Lok Sabha elections in India. He will join the Congress party and contest the elections from Jamnagar area in Gujarat. Meanwhile, Jadeja belongs to this place as well.
The news was confirmed by the local news channel TV9 Gujarati. On the other hand, Ravindra Jadeja’s wife Riva Solanki is part of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP). It is expected that it would be an interesting situation in the house during the Lok Sabha elections. The voting process of Elections has already started in India and on April 11, the first phase has completed as well. In Gujarat, it will be on April 23 during the third phase.

However, there are many cricketers and their family members who have joined politics. In recent times, the former India player Gautam Gambhir joined BJP and he will contest elections from his area in Delhi. He announced his retirement from all format of cricket last year and then tried his hand in commentary; which he has been doing effortlessly.
Earlier also, cricketers used to join politics after having a successful cricketing career. Mohammad Azharuddin, Navjyot Singh Sidhu, Mohammad Kaif are the Indian cricketers who joined politics after having a successful cricketing career. Moreover, former Pakistan captain Imran Khan also joined politics and now he is the Prime Minister of the country.
