India clinched the three-match T20I series against the hosts England on Sunday after beating them by 7 wickets (with 8 balls remaining) in third and final T20I at County Ground (Bristol).
Indian captain Virat Kohli decided to field first after winning the toss. After a very good start, England managed to score 198/9 at the end of 20 overs.
In reply, Indian batsmen’s tremendous efforts helped the visiting side to reach the target comfortably in 18.4 overs after losing three wickets. With this victory, India won the three-match T20I series by the 1-2 margins.

- The second player to take 50 or more T20I catches. The first cricketer was AB De Villiers (South Africa) who took 65 T20I catches (21 as wicketkeeper and 44 as a fielder).

- Also, it is the second highest T20I total for any host nation team against India. The record is 219/4 (20 overs) by South Africa at Johannesburg on March 30, 2012.
v) Indian opening batsman Rohit Sharma completed his century in 56 balls.
- Third slowest T20I century by an Indian batsman.
vi) Indian batsman Rohit Sharma was not out on 100 runs. It was his third T20I century.
- The only international cricketer who has three or more centuries in each international cricket format.
- The second batsman to score the record of three T20I centuries. Colin Munro (New Zealand) was the first cricketer to achieve this feat.
- The second highest T20I score by an Indian batsman against England. The record is 101* by KL Rahul at Manchester on July 3, 2018.

vii) After KL Rahul’s 101*, Rohit Sharma also scored 100* in this T20I series.
- It was the second time when two batsmen from a team scored centuries in the same T20I bilateral series. The first incident happened during the West Indies tour of South Africa 2014/15, where the South African batsmen Faf du Plessis and Morne van Wyk both scored one century in the three-match T20I series.
viii) India successfully chased down the target of 199 runs (201/3 in 18.4 overs).
- Highest successful T20I chase for India outside India. Their previous record was successfully chasing 198-run target (200/3 in 20 overs) against Australia at Sydney on January 31, 2016.
