India vs Australia 4th Test 2nd day: Match Evenly Poised

India ended the 2nd day on 248 for 6 with Ravindra Jadeja and Saha at the crease. It was a good performance by Australian team who bowled with control in the final session to put the match on even keel.

Starting the day on 0 for 0, KL Rahul and Vijay scored 21 runs before Vijay was dismissed by Hazlewood for 11 runs. After the loss of Vijay’ wicket, Pujara and KL Rahul steadied the innings without losing a wicket after a great spell by Australian fast bowlers. At lunch break, India was 64 for 1.

After the lunch break, KL Rahul played an aggressive game and completed his fifth half century of the series. He was dismissed for 60 runs playing a poor pull stroke. Rahane came to the crease and was hitting big strokes against the fast bowlers. Pujara continued his brilliant form and completed his half century. At tea, India was 153 for 2.
After the tea break, Nathan Lyon broke the backbone of the Indian team picking the wickets of Pujara and Karun Nair. Ravichandran Ashwin and Rahane played attacking strokes before Nathan Lyon picked both of them. Ravindra Jadeja and Saha are still at the crease, behind by 52 runs.
