Indian Fans Ask Barmy Army To Apologize For Their Nasty Tweet On Sachin Tendulkar

Legendary Indian cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar Sunday celebrated his 49th birthday and wishes poured in from all corners of world cricket for the legendary cricketer. However, there was one Twitter post that left the Indian fans absolutely infuriated. It was a post for Sachin by England’s Barmy Army, the fan group of England cricket.

Taking to Twitter on the birthday of Sachin Tendulkar, Barmy Army posted an image of the former India cricketer from one of his Test series against England after he got out and captioned it, “Happy Birthday Little Master”.

While Tendulkar did not respond to the post, it was Indian leg-spinner Amit Mishra who gave a befitting reply to the post. Mishra shared a collage of the highs of Tendulkar’s career achieved against England and simply captioned the post on behalf of Tendulkar by saying: “Thanks kids.”

During his illustrious career, amassed as many as 3990 runs in 69 matches against England across formats, which includes nine centuries and 23 fifties. The run tally is the highest by an Asian batter.

Overall, Sachin Tendulkar scored a colossal 34357 runs in international cricket across the 664 games he has played for India, laced with 100 centuries and 164 half-centuries. 18426 of those runs came in 463 ODI appearances with 49 tins and 15921 runs came in 200 Test appearances with 51 centuries.

Sachin Tendulkar is the leading run-scorer not just in these ODIs and Tests, but also in international cricket. He also made one T20I appearance for his country.

Sachin Tendulkar is currently performing the role of a mentor to the Mumbai Indians (MI) franchise and hence celebrated the special day in the bio bubble with his teammates. Mumbai suffered their 8th consecutive loss in IPL 2022 on Sunday against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Wankhede Stadium where Sachin had lifted the 2011 ODI World Cup trophy and played his final international game.
