Former Indian skipper, Virat Kohli was among the players who extended birthday wishes to the legendary Indian cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar, who is celebrating his 49th birthday on Sunday. Widely regarded as one of the best players in the history of cricket, Tendulkar has been the hero for many Indian players including Kohli, who made his debut in the year 2008 and soon found himself on the fast lane to success.
Virat Kohli’s rise in an international cricketer also led people to compare him to Tendulkar. On Tendulkar’s special day, Kohli took to Instagram to share a special birthday message for the Indian great.

In his special message for Sachin Tendulkar, along with a picture of them, Virat Kohli wrote: “Happy Birthday to one of the greatest. Have a good one Sachin paji”.

Sachin is spending the special day in the Mumbai Indians’ bio-bubble as he is the mentor of the five-time winners of the Indian Premier League (IPL). And the franchise had something special arranged for him. All the youngsters shared a message for the legend on his birthday, a video of which was shared by Mumbai Indians, but it was his son Arjun’s words that won the internet.

Captioning the video on Twitter, MI wrote: “He inspired all of India to watch cricket. The boys wish & share their experience of meeting 𝗦𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻 for the first time on his special day.” In the end came Arjun Tendulkar, who had a special birthday wish for his father.
Arjun was heard saying, “I would like to wish you a very happy birthday. And, enjoy your day and thank you for everything you have done for me throughout my life.”
