During the first Qualifier of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Mumbai, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Carlos Brathwaite grabbed an acrobatic catch to dismiss Deepak Chahar.

After Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and put Sunrisers Hyderabad in to bat, they scored 139-7 in their allotted quota of 20 overs. For them posting a decent total was possible due to Brathwaite’s onslaught in the slog overs.

Brathwaite’s catch.

Chahar had come in to bat at No. 8 in the 13th over. Sandeep Sharma, who had opened the bowling for the Sunrisers alongside Bhuvneshwar Kumar, was bowling his third over. Picking up the wicket of Chahar, he gave 12 runs in the over.

On the first delivery of a 15th over, Chahar thwacked a six over deep mid-wicket off Sharma to gain some much-needed momentum in the game. Watch the video:

On the last over of the over, Chahar hit a full delivery to long-on where Brathwaite ran and dived in front to grab the catch. Not confident whether the catch was clean or not, he signalled the same to the umpire Marais Eramus who gave the soft signal as out. Upon watching several replays, it was clear that Brathwaite had grabbed a clean catch. Watch the video:
