Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans were on a roll when the visitors register a thrilling win at the Wankhede Stadium. The fans also witnessed Dwayne Bravo’s match-winning innings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 curtain-raiser. CSK returned to the the IPL pool after a gap of 2 long years and Bravo made sure that the visitors didn’t go back without a win. As a result, CSK won the match by one wicket with just one ball to spare and the celebrations were pretty subtle.

CSK fans, on their way home in Mumbai’s local train, did not let Mumbai Indians (MI) bowlers off the hook easily as they chanted ‘Bravo-Bravo’, rubbing salt on MI fans’ wounds. Here’s the video that has gone viral on the internet —

During the chase of 166, Bravo came in to bat when CSK had lost five wickets in the 12th over and even Dhoni was back in the dug-out. Ravindra Jadeja’s wicket created pressure on CSK as the runs were been socred as er the requirements of the team. Bravo took on MI bowlers and smash 68 runs off 30 balls at a strike rate of 226.67, including 3 fours and 7 sixes.

However, despite his phenomenal innings, he was dismissed on the final ball of the 19th over when CSK needed just 7 runs from the last over. An injured Kedar Jadhav’s heroics saved Chennai and got them off to a winning start in IPL 2018.

Bravo did well with the ball as well in the first innings, especially in the 18th and the 20th overs. The Caribbean all-rounder did not let Pandya brothers post a huge total on the scorecard. His bowling figures at the end of the innings were impressive as he gave just 25 runs from four overs at an economy rate of 6.25. The 34-year-old rated his innings as the best he ever played.
