Abhishek Sharma

With chances of qualifying for the playoffs being non-existent, DD in the last match experimented with young players. One of the debutants who got to play was the 17-year old Abhishek Sharma. The lad had captained India under-19 team for a while and batted brilliantly.

In the last match against RCB, he came out to bat when the team was at 120/4 in 15 overs. Abhishek shocked everyone pleasantly as he scored a quick 46(19) with 3 fours and 4 sixes which included two back-to-back sixes to Tim Southee.
