During the 56th match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) at Pune, Chennai Super Kings’ Deepak Chahar bowled an unplayable delivery to dismiss Aaron Finch in the third over of the innings.

Earlier MS Dhoni, captain of Chennai Super Kings, had won the toss and chose to field. Chennai Super Kings chose Faf du Plessis over Shane Watson in the last league match of this season. On the other hand, Kings XI Punjab brought in David Miller and Karun Nair into the playing eleven in place of Marcus Stoinis and Yuvraj Singh.

On a quick Pune wicket, the Super Kings’ bowlers made the life of the opposition batsmen difficult. The swinging ball had made run-scoring a daunting task for the batsmen.

Deepak Chahar, who opened the bowling for the Super Kings, picked up his first wicket in his second over. On the penultimate delivery of the third over, he bowled a quintessential out-swinger which opened up Finch. The bowler was successful in inducing the outside edge of the bat. With pace on the ball, it went like a bullet to Suresh Raina at first slip who grabbed a first-rate catch.
