After the impressive start in this season with the ball, Deepak missed out few games due to the hamstring injury. He made a comeback in the CSK squad in their last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium (Pune) on last Sunday afternoon where his team claimed an easy 8-wicket victory (with 6 balls remaining).

He bowled very well in that game as he had an impressive bowling figure of 4-0-16-1. He won the ‘Stylish Player of the Match’ award due to his impressive opening spell in that game.

After that game, his sister Malti Chahar posted a message on her Instagram account which shows a great bonding between the brother and sister relationship.

One of the die-hard CSK fans, Malti has attended on the ground in most of CSK games in this season. 18-year-old Rahul Chahar is another brother of Deepak and Malti who is a leg-spinner and currently, he is in the Mumbai Indians squad. However, in the ongoing IPL season, Rahul has not played yet a game.

Coming back to the CSK’s game against SRH on last Sunday, CSK captain MS Dhoni sent SRH to bat first after winning the toss. With the help of good batting performances by the opener Shikhar Dhawan and no.3 skipper batsman Kane Williamson, SRH was able to put 179/4 on the board at the end of 20 overs.

In reply, CSK easily chased down that target after a superb 100+ opening partnership between the openers Shane Watson and Ambati Rayudu. Rayudu was not out after completing his century as CSK reached the target in 19 overs after losing just 2 wickets.
