During the seventh match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians at Hyderabad, Decision Review System (DRS) handed India a ray of hope as it aided them in getting the first wicket in a low-scoring encounter.

After being put in to bat by Kane Williamson, Mumbai Indians scored a lacklustre 147-8 in 20 overs. In a situation where early wickets was the need of the hour, their bowlers failed to make any sort of impact in the powerplay overs. On the contrary, Sunrisers Hyderabad batsmen, Shikhar Dhawan per se, continued from where he left in the last match against Rajasthan Royals at the same venue.

At the end of the powerplay, Hyderabad has scored 56-0. Having scored 34* (18), Dhawan looked in supreme touch.

In desperate need of wickets, the Indians were aided by the DRS system when umpire Nigel Llong did not rule Wriddhiman Saha out lbw against Mayank Markande. Saha, who had stepped out against the leg-spinner, did not look out to the naked eye but replays were evident of the fact that the ball would go on to hit the leg stump.

As a result, Llong had to change his decision. Saha ended up scoring 22 (20) with the help of three fours.
