The top-two teams Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) locked horns with each other to secure a place in the finals of the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). While CSK had an advantage over SRH after winning both the games against the Hyderabad franchise, the game was certainly not tilting anywhere.
The first half of the game belonged to the men in yellow, as they bowled some brilliant spells and lengths to get the Sunrisers batsmen in all sorts of trouble. It all began with a gentle in-swinger from Deepak Chahar, which struck Shikhar Dhawan’s bat to knock the pegs. Further, it was brilliance in bowling from the Super Kings’ to restrict the Sunrisers to a total of 139 runs.

However, the game was not all done, as several times this season, the Sunrisers have closed out the low-scoring games with some brilliance in the bowling department. CSK was at 25/3, and further 52/5 in the game and the match was seem to be going far away from them and their only hope remaining was Faf du Plessis. From could he do it so he did it it was Faf du Plessis 67 off 42 balls brilliance that took the Super Kings home.
Talking about his knock after the game, Du Plessis said, “Yesterday, I was just reflecting on my past games and took some confidence from that mentally. I just entered the changing room now, and asked the boys, ‘how did we win this, guys?”
Twitter was as much kicked as Faf du Plessis after the stunning victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad, with messages pouring in for the South African skipper.
Du Plessis expresses his feelings on the micro-blogging site Twitter:
Thanx so much to everyone for the kind messages.. Can’t believe that we won that game last night. Special to be there at the end. Looking forward to the final on Sunday pic.twitter.com/uAkXJqqLy7
