During the 12th match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings at Mohali, Imran Tahir picked up a couple of wickets off successive deliveries to dent Kings XI Punjab’s approach towards a mountainous target.

After being put in to bat by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Kings XI Punjab stockpiled runs at a brisk rate. Led by Chris Gayle’s 22nd IPL half-century, Punjab crossed the 100-run mark in just the ninth over. The equation had moved to 149-2 in 14 overs.

It was at this point in time that Tahir brought back Chennai Super Kings into the match. Having conceded 24 runs off his first two overs, Tahir was under a considerable amount of pressure. However, he put that behind him to pick up two wickets in two balls.

On the first delivery of the 15th over, Mayank Agarwal mis-timed a Tahir delivery to long on to hand Tahir his first wicket. Aaron Finch, who replaced Agarwal in the middle, was foxed by Tahir on the first ball that he faced. Finch was out for the second time on a golden duck.
