During the 46th match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Pune, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Kane Williamson took a diving catch to dismiss Suresh Raina. After Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and put the visitors into bat, Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 179-4 in their allotted quota of 20 overs. After managing to tackle some quality swing bowling from the opposition, both Shikhar Dhawan and Kane Williamson scored half-centuries to lay a foundation for the batsman to follow.
In the second innings, Sunrisers’ bowlers, considered to be the best in the tournament, struggled big time against Ambati Rayudu and Shane Watson as the opening duo stitched together a 134-run match winning partnership.
Raina came into bat at No. 3 in the 14th over. On the first delivery of the following over, he lofted a Sandeep Sharma delivery with minimal timing. The ball went high in the air only to be grabbed by a diving Williamson at mid-off. Raina scored 2 (3).
