While his last international game was in early January 2014, the English man was waiting for his recalling to the national side before announcing his retirement from professional cricket in early this year.

During his stint in international cricket, Pietersen was one of the most important batsmen in English squad. Pietersen achieved numerous international records in his more than the 9-year international career.

In the last period of his career, Pietersen had not a good relation with England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB). It was the reason that he failed to make a comeback again in the English squad. Since Pietersen’s 2012 Text message controversies had come in front during the home Test series against South Africa, there was a rift in the relationship between Pietersen and ECB. Though he played further for the national team, the condition had not much improved and later he was axed from the national team forever.

Now, the 37-year-old takes a new dig with English sports channel Sky Sports commentators as he claimed that they had a major role in ending his international career.

According to his recent tweet, the Sky sports commentators are making money from IPL while they viewed the tournament as just a cash machine.

He wrote on his official Twitter account, “SKY’s commentators now cashing in on the @IPL.
The same ones that played a major part in ending my England career.
Hilarious how the IPL isn’t viewed as a tournament for mercenaries who only care about cash…!”
