During the final match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Mumbai, Chennai Super Kings’ Lungi Ngidi dismissed Deepak Hooda to put a dent on Sunrisers’ progress.

Earlier Mahendra Singh Dhoni, captain of Chennai Super Kings, had won the toss and chose to field first. Making a solitary change to their playing eleven, Chennai Super Kings included Karn Sharma in place of Harbhajan Singh. On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad made a couple of changes, bringing in Sreevats Goswami and Sandeep Sharma in place of Wriddhiman Saha and Khaleel Ahmed.

Hooda came in to bat at No. 6 in the 16th over. Ngidi opened the bowling for the Super Kings alongside Deepak Chahar. Bowling his third over, he conceded 10 runs and picked up a wicket.

On the fourth delivery of the over, Yusuf Pathan hit a formidable shot against Ngidi down the ground as the ball went over the boundary. Watch the video:

On the last ball of the over, Hooda was taken aback by the slowness of the delivery as his attempted slog went straight into the hands of substitute fielder Dhruv Shorey fielding at the deep square leg. Hooda scored 3 (4). Watch the video:
