Hits

Sanju Samson (RR) – 23-year-old Sanju Samson batted brilliantly in the first innings as he scored unbeaten 92 runs off 45 balls. The right-handed batsman had the superb 204.44 strike rate where he hit 10 sixers and 2 fours. He single-handedly change the game as he was unstoppable at the end of the innings.

He was awarded the Player of the Match after the game.

Shreyas Gopal (RR) – 24-year-old leg-spinner bowled superbly in this high-scoring game as his bowling figure was 4-0-22-2. Most importantly he dismissed two most dangerous RCB batsmen Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. He provided 11 dot balls during his spell.

Virat kohli

Virat Kohli (RCB) – RCB captain was in the attacking mood in that high run chase. He scored 57 runs off 30 balls with 7 fours and 2 sixes. However, he should need to stay in the crease for more times to secure a victory in that high chase.

Mandeep Singh (RCB) – A desperate batting performance showed by the right-handed batsman. At the final moment, he played an unbeaten 47 runs knock off 25 balls with 6 fours and 1 six but it was not enough for the team to achieve the victory.

Umesh Yadav

Flops

Umesh Yadav (RCB) – RCB’s previous match hero Umesh Yadav was totally different in this game. Having an expensive bowling figure of 4-0-59-0 in this game with 14.75 economy rate, the right-arm pacer was mostly out of control with the ball. He even conceded two no-balls which resulted in two sixes in the free-hits.

In the last over of the innings, Umesh conceded 27 runs including one free-hit.

Jos Butler

Jos Buttler (RR) – While he scored 23 runs off 14 balls with the bat, his wicketkeeping was not up to the mark. He missed one important stumping of AB de Villiers and soon he missed another run-out chance during the mix-up between Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. Luckily, those were not affected for RR but those couldn’t be neglectable.

Ben Laughlin (RR) – Not a good day with the ball in hand. The right-arm pacer had the expensive bowling figure of 4-0-46-1. He was very inconsistent with the ball and conceded huge runs especially at the end.
