Mohammad Shami and Nitish Rana playing against home teams
An interesting aspect of the IPL is state-players representing the different city franchises. We saw that in the RCB vs KXIP match, KXIP had three Karnataka batsmen playing in their ranks while RCB had no local player in the side.
A similar dilemma will be present on Monday when Mohammad Shami will be starting his run-up at the Eden Gardens. He will be representing the visiting team of Delhi Daredevils and not the home team of Kolkata.
Nitish Rana will be in the contrasting situation. he is Delhi-born and has played his first-class cricket for Delhi. He is now playing for Kolkata Knight Riders and he will face his home team Delhi Daredevils at the Eden Gardens.
