5. Revisiting the first match

Delhi and Kings XI Punjab will be facing each other once again in the IPL, they first played in the second match of the IPL played Mohali on 8th April 2018.

In the day match, Punjab captain Ravi Ashwin won the toss and chose to field first citing the unknown nature of the pitch and ease of chasing. Delhi Daredevils lost Colin Munro early to Mujeeb. Both Shreyas Iyer and Vijay Shankar played slowly and got out eventually.

Gautam Gambhir stood tall at one end guided DD to 166/7. The chase was blown away by KL Rahul who smashed the fastest fifty of the IPL with 50 in just 14 balls. The match was practically lost from there.Kings XI Punjab won by 6 wickets.
