4. Delhi’s top order failure
In t20 cricket, the idiom “Well begun is half-done” takes a new meaning. Opening partnership has the facility of going after the leather in powerplay overs with the field pulled inside the circle. This is something that Delhi has missed so far.
Gautam Gambhir, was the center of the attraction when he returned to the home city of Delhi as the captain. Batting wise, he has struggled in the season. So far, he has scored only 81 runs in the four innings that he played at a strike rate of a meager 108.
Colin Munro failed earlier and scored only four runs in the two batting innings that he received. Jason Roy replaced him and started exceptionally well with his 92* against Mumbai. However, in the last two innings, he has scored only six runs.
