We shall await the high-profile clash of two super teams tomorrow. Dubbed as a Southern Derby of the IPL, Chennai Super Kings will be taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. The major attraction will, of course, be the sight of Kohli against MS Dhoni but two hungry teams going against each other will also be very interesting to see.
Here is how the probable XI of the teams shape up
Royal Challengers Bangalore
After losing three out of the first four matches, Kohli’s team must have revisited the memories of the last season where the team struggled heavily. Luckily, they faced Delhi Daredevils which was a team struggling more than them.
In the last match after taking out much of Delhi, RCB struggled to keep Rishabh pant down and conceded 174 runs. Luckily for them, it was a night where ABD was in his elements. He struck an amazing knock of 90*(39) to take RCB home.
In the last match, RCB had Vohra to open with De Kock. Despite his failure, the move seems to be a good one and RCB should persist with the same playing XI.
Playing XI –
AB de Villiers, Virat Kohli (c), Umesh Yadav, Mandeep Singh, Chris Woakes/Tim Southee, Yuzvendra Chahal, Manan Vohra, Quinton de Kock (wk), Corey Anderson/Colin De Grandhomme, Mohammed Siraj, Washington Sundar
Chennai Super Kings
The yellow team has wasted no time in getting at the top of the table. Chennai team has as always been solid so far and has given a lot to cheer for its loyal fans. In the last match, it was Rayudu and Raina whose partnership took CSK to winning score, while Deepak Chahar broke the back of SRH.
In the last match, CSK missed the services of Imran Tahir due to injury and FAF Du Plessis was brought in his place. They also dropped Harbhajan Singh to accommodate the wrist spin of Karn Sharma.
If Tahir is fit, he is likely to be included to get maximum help from the spinning track of Chinnaswamy. Rest of the team looks settled.
Playing XI –
Shane Watson, Dwayne Bravo, MS Dhoni (c & wk), Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Karn Sharma, Ambati Rayudu, Faf du Plessis/Imran Tahir, Deepak Chahar, Sam Billings, Shardul Thakur
