2. Dinesh Karthik’s Captaincy 

After the auction a grim realization hit KKR team management – they had not picked any captain! The issue became one of the biggest talking points as many players came forward wanting the captain’s job. The management decided to go ahead with Dinesh Karthik and after his innings of 29*(8) the decision is hard to debate.

Talking about his role as a captain of the team and his expectation from the team, Karthik said, “Being a leader of the team, the management will expect from me the same. I’m aware of the expectations. Yes, there would be pressure. As a captain, you’re expected to at least go to the playoffs, that’s the least anybody can expect. I think I’m at a stage where I can handle it and get the best out of the team.”

It will be interesting how Dinesh Karthik handles this responsibility.
