Shreyas Iyer’s form
The most shocking announcement of the IPL so far came from the camp of Delhi Daredevils. It’s loved home boy Gautam Gambhir stepped down from the position of Captain in the aftermath of the consistent poor team performances. DD installed Shreyas Iyer as their new captain and he started excellently with a match-winning innings against KKR.
Iyer was in a murderous mood against KKR the other night and smacked 29 runs in the last over of Shivam Mavi. Iyer’s highest score 93* came in just 40 balls. So far in the season, he has scored 351 runs with an average of 50 and a strike rate of 150. In the last match against SRH, Iyer scored 44 runs from 36 balls.
